Leore Faber, Psy.D.
Dr. Faber began her practice in 2017 and has always believed that therapy is one of the most meaningful gifts an individual can give oneself. It is a challenging process through which you will learn about your relationships, characteristic patterns, and how to better cope during times of distress. In her psychotherapy practice, she values open-mindedness, introspection, humor, logic, and honesty. Most of all, Dr. Faber is eager to learn and understand your personal story.
As a licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Faber has experience working with adults, adolescents, and children. She received her doctoral degree from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology and a masters in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. Dr. Faber completed her clinical training at the New York Center for Children, Columbia University Medical Center, and the Jewish Child Care Center. She has treated and evaluated individuals with interpersonal relationship challenges, trauma symptoms, mood dysregulation, family conflicts, anxiety, and depression.
In addition to private practice work, Dr. Faber has spent years working in the NYC private school system, both in special education and progressive education settings.
Whitney Zirilli, LMSW
Whitney is a Licensed Social Worker who brings over 20 years as a professional actor into her practice. After a decision to shift careers, Whitney obtained her Masters degree in Social Work from Rutgers University.
Prior to joining Dr. Faber’s practice, Whitney trained in a clinical setting where she managed a diverse caseload and treated patients with anxiety, depression, trauma, and burnout, including LGBTQ+ individuals and couples. She also trained in a school setting, providing counseling and support for high school students.
Whitney brings a unique perspective to her clinical practice, using her longtime work as an actor to understand patients’ anxieties, especially those that come along with being on a stage. Whitney uses evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, and mindfulness techniques with her patients. Whitney creates a safe, warm, and open space in therapy, allowing for collaboration, humor, and heightened self-understanding for her patients.
